By Gregorious

The Saleen S7 is a high performance street ready American supercar capable of well over 200 miles per hour. It has the coolest shape I’ve ever seen and was designed to compete with the fastest, quickest and most powerful supercars in existence.

Saleen S7 Twin Turbo - blue

The Saleen S7's shape was designed for optimal aerodynamics - at 160 mph this hand-built super-car is able to produce enough down-force to be driven upside down and still stay attached to the road. Saleen S7 is very wide, low and long. It is actually the longest and lowest two-seat sports car on the market.

Saleen S7 appears in the following video games:

Lets take a look at some impressive numbers:

  • 0-60 mph: 2.8 seconds
  • 0-100 mph: 5.9 seconds
  • 0-100-0 mph: 11.2 seconds
  • Top speed: 248 mp/h (399 km/h)
  • Horsepower: 750 hp (559 kW)
  • Market value: $585.000

Originaly Saleen S7 power output was 550 hp (410 kW), but Twin Turbo model is equipped with two turbochargers and has power output increased to 750 hp.

There are only two cars on the market offering more horsepower than Saleen S7 Twin Turbo:

  • the undisputed supercar champion Bugatti Veyron1001 hp
  • the Koenigsegg CCR806 hp

But Bugatti Veyron is in its own price range, costing more than twice as much as S7 ($1.4 million).

The market value of Saleen S7 is $585.000.

OK, half a million is still a bit much for us "normal people". I guess I'll keep on looking for cheap used cars and continue dreaming. Maybe some day...
